Shipe and Dillard have only been on little fish 4 and 5 lber's might not be enough to get a check.

This may even the playing field some with this massive front that's coming thru...hehehehe. Their pet 4 and 5lbers may turn into 1 and 2 lbers overnight....just like Cinderella! As long as they don't turn into a punkin' they'll be fine.....

I noticed your RayBob open tournament says fishing ceases at 3pm. Is that the case for the Lew tourney, too? My fish usually don't start bitin' until 3:15 or so.....

Yes, all lines out by 3pm, checked in at tanks no later than 4pm!

BASS PRO SHOP GRAPEVINE SERIES OPEN # 1 - LAKE LEWISVILLE - FINAL RESULTS!

What a day it was to kick off the return of the BPS Grapevine Series today at Lake Lewisville. A total of (32) teams braved the cold morning and the unexpected strong north winds that at times exceeded 25-30mph in the afternoon. The cold front dropped the water temperature and the water clarity was stained making conditions a challenge for the majority of the field braving the elements. Several anglers dropped out early and it appeared that the bite would be a struggle, but that was not the case as these guys flat out caught them under tough fishing conditions. The strong wind and stained water clarity made it very difficult for those anglers who's game plan was to target bedding bass.

Klint Krhorjak and BJ Gammons took the win today with an impressive 17.97 limit anchored by their 7.06 kicker that took overall BIG BASS honors. Wes Price and Gene Barrington took second with 16.21 pounds. Warren Terry and Gary Turner finished a respectable third place finish sacking 14.98 pounds. Fourth place was claimed by Blake Woodall and Matt Cambell with 14.90 pounds. Bill Gammons fished solo and a fifth place finish with 14.62 pounds, and rounding out the top-six was Joe Rome and Eli Deal with 14.07 pounds. Second BIG BASS payout went to Richard Jorge and John Souhrada and their 6.91 fattie!

I'd like to thank all of the anglers for coming out today and supporting the BPS Grapevine Series. Special thanks to all of the anglers fishing this series for the first time, it was great meeting you! The complete final results have been posted below! I look forward to seeing everyone at the next event at Ray Roberts on Saturday April 9th!

What happened to Dillard and Shipe??

They caught them good, unfortunately they didn't make it back in time to weigh their catch!

Very well ran and killer set up. We stunk it up yesterday but had a good time doing so.
