i caught almost all of them on a chartreuse roadrunner. no crappie caught where i was fishing but i didn't really move around. i was in my kayak and anchored up in one spot

What's the shore fishing possibilities up there look like? Think a guy could bring home a few meals worth casting from the bank? Coming from Pleasanton (south of SA) but my canoe is at my buds place in Corpus

plenty of shoreline at the park. the kayak made it easier for me and waders do have an advantage but i saw folks catching them from the bank

I caught 18 on Friday! 7 of them were fat females, so that's a real good sign! All were caught about 100 yards up from the ramp.

Went to Barefoot on a tip. Busted. 5 crappies under 8" and 2 white bass under 10" in 5 hours

There is a fish cleaning station, but there is no power outlets for electric knives. Has two steel tables with some hoses and a fish box in the middle to throw the guts etc. into...

Barefoots camp is farther upstream than CBSP. Any reports out of sulphur springs camp? Does anyone know if TP&W allows Anyone to fish Gorman falls? We used to kill the WB at Gorman Falls & Sulpher Springs camp before it was all CBSP.

Wife and I drove down and fished CBSP again yesterday. Fishing was way slower. Still lots of waders and yaks upstream and several boats and bank fishermen downstream of the ramp. We caught 12 keeper fish in 5 hours of fishing. I don't know if the spawn is over and they are returning to the lake or they have moved upstream. It's been a fun time this year. We made 4 day trips this year and caught and released over 150 whites and cleaned 40 for the frying pan.

 I'm set to be there Tues through friday next week. Looks like weve got some rain coming, I hope the fish are biting at least.

Fishing was great on Tue but slow since. Think fronts slowed them down. Still mainly males, ranger thinks another week or two for females to really start showing. From what locals are saying, rain will turn on the catfish off the bank near boat ramp.

I was there Friday, Saturday, & this Wednesday. Fishing was so so. Everyone I talked to said, "you should of been here Yesterday". Such is the way it goes.
