Now that is some elite advice right there!

We caught around 20 today. Biggest weighed 4.1. Caught a 6lb hybrid and a lot of 2lb bucks. My buddy stuck a 3lber back in Poo , biggest bass I've seen come outta there in a long time. Usually it's 8" fish. Yesterday was a lot bigger fish but today we beat it for numbers but not avg size. The lake is gettin widdit. Without a major cold front, the bass will be spawning by the first week of March. Go get some!!

Lewisville Lake has Marathon Fish, a professor and his students at Tarleton tagged fish there a few summers ago and found that LMB covered 3x more ground on avg. than Hubbard, C. Creek, Tawak. and Roberts.

Why? Who know's..

Wooo!

Thanks so much to everyone for your help! I fished out of Pilot Knoll today. Spent most of the day fishing secondary points with hard bottoms in 8-15ft with creatures, crank, trap, a-rig. Went out to the main lake side of Hickory Creek just outside PK and fished around timber in 15fow. Felt like I was fishing well. Water temps 60 in the back and 56 on the main lake. After about 8 hrs I pulled into a shallow cove and got on TFF to read your replies. Based on what yall are saying, I decided to slow down and just fish a light Texas rigged worm in the bushes. Boom just like that I started getting bit. If it didnt start blowing 20mph I might have put together a nice bag. Photo of the girl is from last week. She's single FYI wink

Well, I am suddenly much more inclined to let you follow me around Lewisville now! Fork tomorrow, Champs at Fork next weekend, but shoot me a PM, and we can make a day of it.

Fished as a co with the elites a few years ago in February. Was very cold. We caught all our LM bass near the discharge of the water treatment plant. Tried several other areas with not even a bite.

we fished in a creek yesterday and found 65 degree water. fishing for crappie mainly but ended up with about 16 LMB up to about three pounds. lots of 8" fish as well. Im sure if we would have been targeting hem we could have pulled some better ones out.

My wife and I fiished Lewisville for the first time today since moving here in Sept. Launched from Tower Bay - after I finally figured out how to get there! Caught a dozen out of Hickory Creek, all on spinnerbaits in 4'-5'. Pretty happy being the first time on the lake and only fished until 12 to beat the rain.

Yup. . .the water has warmed a good 7 or 8 degrees this week. It's almost on. WE'll have to wait and see how much rain we get, but if it's not too much, the fishing should be about to explode.

It has exploded if you're fishing in the right areas. Started at 3:30pm. We tried a couple of spots and zeroed. We went to our area where we had been fishing and Had 5 best 26.5lbs by 6pm. It was crazy. Females had moved up. Friday, avg 3-4lb females were in there. Saturday it was mainly bucks. Sunday the bigger 4-6lb females came to say hi. Lew bass can be hard to figure out. I'm glad a lot of people claim Lew to be "Looserville".

Good fishin....... fish

Damn Okie you were in the right spot apparently.

I was in Jefferson yesterday evening and caught 16 fish in 2 hours. One was even over 3 lbs, it was a miracle. Just in time for the rain to screw it up. . .

I fished again all day yesterday and caught one bass throwing mostly spinnerbait and squarebill in 2-7 fow. Really appreciate all the help you guys have offered me, but I have decided to give up bass fishing. This guy fishing for crappie caught 16 LMB? If anyone wants a boat I'm giving away my Triton 21TRX for free. It has down imaging, side imaging, 10ft Power Poles. Only problem is it seems to repel the bass.

Haha don't give up man, I recently got serious about bass fishing and got a boat, received some great advice off your thread and pm'd a few of the guys that had replied and headed out there yesterday as well. Ended up catching only one fish between me and my buddy after a full day on the water - had a blast but 1 fish makes for a slowwww day - anyways I'm determined to learn how to be successful on my home lake like you so I'll be back out there again not catching fish soon!
