Did he get it weighed on a certified scale and all of that? Or did he just release it? no

That's a toad. Where would you take a fish to get a certified weight if you did catch a record fish on the vine?

That's a toad. Where would you take a fish to get a certified weight if you did catch a record fish on the vine? I doubt Central Market would let you weigh the fish, but would have to find local place with certified grocery scale that would allow you place live fish.  ay place better?

Bass Pro is 5 min from the ramp.... if you call and let them know your coming with a potential lake record they will be ready for you. They killed or got rid of most of the large bass in Grapevine. Not so sure I would take anything there.

He can submit it to TPWD if he wanted to for lake record.
Don't know if I would waste my time, Catch it, weigh it, snap a few pics and be on my way.

I'm not talking about giving them the fish, simply using their certified scale to get the actual weight... then you can haul the fish right back to the ramp and release.
Regardless, one heck of a fish and shes still swimming around or someone else to catch! Congrats again to the angler!
