Before I did anything else to any prop or lower the motor or anything, I would get the tach on that boat checked out to make sure its reading right. Then once you get an accurate rpm reading go from there. At 6000 rpm with a 27p prop running 61 is 30% slip. Thats rediculous and almost unheard of. Get your tach checked to make sure its reading right and go from there.

OP Aggie34 Angler Joined: Feb 2015 Posts: 262 Glen Rose	Got the prop in today. Full tank of gas, me, and my 110lb dog it topped out at 67mph. The lake was a little rough so I can probably get an extra mile or two more. Tried raising the jackplate 1/2 inch but didn't see any gains that were noticeable. Pretty sure the tachometer is off since it showed I hit 7000rpm and the sho has a governor at 6200-6400
