Too many potlickers around lol

You tell one person a spot. That person tells another. Next thing you know his friends friends got their whole family / crew out there with him.

We take alot of time to go out and find spots where no one is fishing. We like to fish in peace and combat fishing with 1000 other people is not so enjoyable lol

what creeks are you guys going to up here in dallas, every creek I know of around here is still flooded.

Find a lake that is at or close to pool. There you will find creeks that aren't backed up from the lake being high.

Also, for every lake that is high, you'll find a creek or river below a dam that's releasing water. All of these have had awesome fishing. We have a lot of lakes around here. Not too hard to find one that's not ridiculous combat fishing if you are willing to drive a ways from DFW.

Ok so I get not sharing spots, And I get wanting too find fish when you see pics on here. My only thing is, I think that when you put in work to find fish you are well rewarded. I know I have been when I walked miles and miles years past (and had help along the way). The only thing is, when you post pics before, during, or after the main spring run, on a bank section of the forum, where we all know that most of the spots are very accessible wants yo find them, you have to be prepared for people to ask, get mad, and want to know how where and why. I got no problem with some one asking me, I may not tell them, but if I post pics of what I am doing, it comes with the territory. If we are not posting pics of what we have done for a report to help others, then what are we really posting pics for, bragging, showing off, validation. I was guilty of it in the passed. I basically just started posting my fish pics on Facebook instead of hear, because I see this as more of a forum than an album of accomplishments . The best thing really is to share your pics in a private Facebook group if it is your friends that you want to show what you have done. But lets be honest, We want everyone to see what we did, want to do it themselves, and then tell them sorry this is mine lol. All in good fun just my 2 cents.

Not trying to say that those who put in work should share secrets or anything, just more of an opinion on the psychology of the situation. You guys who get up at dark, walk through thorns and need new waders every year cus you fish every day, skip meals, work, and dates and then come home at dark only to get yelled at sometimes. I commend you for your dedication. I know it well. rest assured your secrets are safe, just send them all to me and we can start posting pics lol jk.

True. I don't post on here for bragging rights, I could careless about that. I post pics on here and tell them what I use to catch them for other people who are having a tough time finding them. I won't post or say the places because I have in the past and it ruined the hole/creek/spot. I want to give ppl motivation that there are places around dfw that you can catch these fish if you look hard enough. I don't like it when people are "phishing" for your spot. There are plenty of places to fish at. People just don't want to take the time to do the work to find them, they expect you to just tell them. I'm not tryin to disrespect anybody or anything of that nature. I agree with you Benp. I have a Facebook but I only use it to network with. So I hardly go on there. I don't want people to get the wrong idea about me or any of my friends on here. I don't mind helping or teaching people. I'm just like everyone else on this forum. People send me pms all the time, and I do help them out. Locations, presentations, lures, colors and I give it to them and tell them to go try it. But it's when people send me pms like "where you catching them at?" Or "where's the fish at?" Or "I will find your spot, and I will fish it" or "tell where you caught those fish", etc etc. I won't respond to those, that's just rude and disrespectful. I think "hey how are you doing King, I was wondering on how you caught those? What did you use? How do you know where to find them? Etc. Those I can do all day with response, no problem.

lol plus one to all that man. The only thing better than catching fish is putting friends on fish and seeing them hoot and hollar for sure! I love it when I get friends on my boat that think catch one or two fish is what fishing is and then we catch 150 whites and a few hybrids lol they are shocked and out looking for gear the next day. Totally agree with you about everything you said, I was just trying to think about why I used to post Pics on here, and I must admit it was a little bit of bragging but I know now form meeting plenty of great guys on here that Fishing is so much more than catching, I have met some great guys and am very glad to be able to call some close friends. I agree also that Pm's are the best for those that are new and want to learn. They may not know what a pm is or even how to do it lol. You have to try the private Facebook group thing though. when you start the group with like 4 or 5 people anything inside the group does not get shared with any one else at all, we have a running chat that has been going on for months probably and it is freaking hilarious...

As for the boat. Heck ya man hop on. I fish a lot of weekdays, because I don't like the crowds on Weekends. Send me a pm if you can ever Fish a Friday or a Monday for sure!

Lol thanks benp! Friday's and Monday's are hard for me, I work in the surgery biz and I'm busy during the hours of 5a-3/5p on weekdays. I do fish during the week but it's mostly local dfw. But if I get a day off ull be there first person to get a pm from me!
