I've attempted to throw the Z-Man Original Chatterbait in green pumpkin and white, however I have yet to be successful. My initial thought is that maybe I'm not fishing it around the right grass. I've left the trailer that comes in the package on the chatterbait but I'm starting to lose confidence in that part of the bait (if I ever had any confidence). Let me know if there is something about the bait I'm missing.

Strike King KVD Perfect Plastic Blade Minnow As of yesterday, I have found my new favorite trailer for a vibrating jig. I was using Keitech Swing Impact's, Optimum Double Diamond's, Zoom Fluke's, everything. I caught a lot of fish on a chatterbait yesterday (probably 25 fish), using this as a trailer. It has the right of mix of action (the profile of a fluke but the thump of a swimbait), and it's my new favorite trailer. They're super durable too, you can catch about 8 fish on just one bait. Great trailer!

My go-to chatterbait trailers are the Lake Fork "Live" Magic Shad and reaction innovations skinny dipper with an inch or so cut off of the head when i want to get a little more water movement. In a clear water grass situation I usually opt out of the chatterbait skirt and just use the Magic Shad.

Throw a Rage Craw on that thing. That is almost all I use and it works.

The "stock" twin tail trailers that come with the chatterbaits are actually great. Good action & a little extra bulk to the bait. What I have have found is that for numbers this stock trailer is best but for larger bites I prefer a 5" Yum Money Minnow or your favorite swimbait in this size/style. On many occasions in side-to-side comparisons while both were being fished out of my boat the little twin tailed trailer consistently caught more fish but the bulk and "thump" of the larger swimbait consistently caught the larger fish. Just my experiences.
