My wife and I stopped by for just a little bit. It was fun seeing all the booths and we got to hear Aaron Martens talk!

I want to say thanks to Carlos from Rivera Tackle for the awesome prices on rods and tackle.

Also a thanks to Finch nasty lures for going out of their way to teach a rookie like me on some jig tips and tricks.

Will definitely use both companies again in the future due to their awesome customer service.

Hopefully next year is bigger and better.

Went Saturday late morning. The place was packed! Bought a few of Brad's crankbaits. He was already sold out of several colors and styles but I got an order form from him to order more. Lots of other stuff to see but I did not buy any more stuff.

Left there and went up to Anglers Pro Tackle in North Richland Hills. Dropped a few hundred there. Bought one of Dobyn's "Fury" Series rods. When I got there I was looking at the "Champion" series rods and the guy at the counter asked me if I had seen the new "Fury" series I said no. He commented that they were very good rods for $99. I looked them all over and handed him a 704 CB rod and asked him to hold it for me while I shopped some more. When I had my other items and brought them to the counter, he told me he was wrong the longer rods (7+ feet I guess) were $109. Then he said "I told you it was $99 so that's all I'm going to charge you for this rod." A very nice gesture and a man of his word. Nice looking rod for $109 an even better deal for only $99.

I'll be back to his store even though it is about 40 miles from my house.
