I believe they said big bass was like 5.5 to 6 pounds. Thats the type of weights you use to see on the Big Bass Battle for Lake Fork. I never understood why such low weights for the Bass Capital of the world. I guess just a bad day?

that's a good day for Fork, there are better days, but also many more days not even that good.

you really don't get a great perspective about Fork just watching guide posts and other hero "great day" shots. you need to count all the guides and fisherman that were on the water a particular day and you never see a post and pic from them. laugh

It appears that Mr. Pack isn't a fan of Scott's.

Ahhh my mistake, Mr. Pack just seemed kinda "meh" on the show. Maybe it was the cruddy weather or maybe he isn't a high energy type of guy. Just kinda seemed like he'd rather been someplace else.

He was probably kind of bummed that the fish were not cooperating. It looks a whole lot better for business to be catching horses than pipsqueaks. Most Fork guides I know don't talk about catching slots, they talk about catching overs.

Overs are pretty rare, even the guides might only get a couple a week sight fishing or prime times, other slow times there might be weeks between overs. Also keep in mind most overs are in the 7-9 pound range, only a minority % goes DD, just look at tourney results. If a guide catches an over, a DD, or a 2.5 pound under then you WILL hear about it because they will say so. 90% of your guide pictures are those large slots in 5-8 pound range where no weight is listed.
