Arlington! Not only is it almost impossible to catch fish except under perfect conditions, there isn't any scenery to look at as it looks like it was built on top of the city junk with all the trash surrounding the East side.

I hate Sam Rayburn. I know there are fish in SR, but it really sucks Wind, Waves, Stumps, no hydrilla, no boat lanes, no place to stay, no place to eat It just sucks You obviously do not know how to fish it. There is a to. Of hydroplane in it. You just aren't looking in the right places. For me, itsLivingston that I dislike. A bowl shaped mud hole.

Hate Palestine. I just could never figure them out there. Don't know how anyone could hate Rayburn, I've had very few bad days there, and there's so many ways to catch them.

Toledo ??? One of the best lakes in the country. Just takes some time to figure the Big Bend out. Agree. I just don't have to time to devote that far away from my house. Just takes time. If you from Lufkin you aint that far.

??? Athens ??? Different strokes for different folks. I love Athens,,,,,, Sam Rayburn still sucks. I like Toledo just fine......only fished it 3 times and caught good fish all 3 times. I am up to 25 times on Sam with didly squat to show for all those times
You need to move around some more Rayburn is tuff until you figure some stuff out it took me a few years to get going.

I would normally say RayHub, but what I have learned over the last year is that's because I haven't put in the time to learn the lake. I have had a few bad trips and then formed my opinion. I know there are BIG fish in there, and lots of good fish, but I just haven't spent enough time on there. One of the turn-offs for me is the urban environment. It's not relaxing being surrounded by cars, highways and people....... at least not to me. I fish to escape and RayHub doesn't feel secluded and relaxing. It all contributes to the negative vibes I have about the lake. Have to work to change that in 2016.

I agree with Frank, one thing I enjoy most about fishing is getting away from all that city noise and Ray Hub is right in the middle of it and during the summer there are way to many recreational people out there- I would also vote for Ray Roberts. It's a good lake but the problem is getting there, traveling up I35 through Lewisville, Denton area has to be the biggest beating in North Texas. It is so crowded and most of it is 2 lanes and has been under construction forever.
Coming from Irving, Ray Roberts is 60 miles to the state park from my house, the 515 East ramp at Fork is 100 miles from my house. I can get to the east ramp at Fork faster and once I get to Greenville it's a nice drive.
