[quote=Jersey Dan]check out this Rooster Fish I caught yesterday in Costa Rica. I wonder how much this replica is going to costs.
Nice fish! How about the fight? yeah, that fish had me down for about 30 minutes. Unreal power and they use the same head shake like DD bass just 5x larger.

What part of Costa Rica were you fishing? We were looking at Los Suenos for a family trip this spring. Nice fish, btw!

As much as I love Bass fishing which is more than anything, in a few years I'm giving it up and moving to Costa Rica. I'll probably buy a piece of property this year to build on. Words don't describe the life out there. It's a different Galaxy. If you are bringing the family, stay in Samara. Nicest place in Costa Rica, I stayed at hotel Rancho de la Playa.

I will try to visit Costa Rica as much as I can rest of my life. I do wish there was better Marlin fishing, but at least you can catch a bunch of Sails while also a chance at Marlin. You have probably already seen this website, but a great read. So many Americans move to Costa Rica and a high percentage don't make it a year. http://www.therealcostarica.com

Does anyone know of any Peacock Bass fishing in Costa Rica? I'm heading out there for a week. I was there this summer. I'm not Saltwater expert, but I guess Tarpon on Atlantic coast and Sailfish/Billfish on Pacific coast. We stayed in Quepos from San Jose. I highly recommend an offshore Sailfish trip with good chance at Marlin, Mahi-mahi, and Tuna. You can stop off on way back in for Snapper and Grouper. You can also book an inshore trip for Rooster. Watch video in my signature, I am now officially hooked on Billfish! Going with your recommendation on the Stress Reeliever 2 with Quepos fish adventures on April 12th. Hoping to get my 11 yr old his first billfish, and my first blue! Sweet video man!
