100% braid, no leader. I never understood adding a leader to your line. Once you add a leader, you are now fishing 100% of the leader, whether its larger or smaller test.

In all honesty, adding a leader to braid, you are fishing with LESS than the leader strength. The leader strength is based on a straight pull-to-yield rating. When tying on to braid, the knot is such a tightly wound "kink"'that the pound rating is a little less at the knot. The only reason to use a fluorocarbon leader is on spinning gear. The braid is more manageable on spinning gear with its very low memory, but at the same time, most spinning gear ( for me) is used on finesse baits. Finesse fishing is all about subtle. And that means light line that is hard to see. Best of both lines here. That's my 2 cents.
Braid on a bait casting reel is about brutal power yanking. Haha. In nasty stuff.

Sunline Assassin FC Flourocarbon This is for sure my favorite line that doesn't coil. I've been using it over regular FC Sniper for a few months now and it's almost as good as Shooter Flourocarbon, but without the hefty price tag. It's new for this year and Sunline has hit a home run with this line. It's one of the strongest and most sensitive lines that Sunline has produced. I switched to using flourocarbon 7 years ago and I couldn't be happier.

I just stretch it out the night before..... Most of you are not doing this. Hook your bait on the fence stretch hell out of it. I see two others RICK JAMES mention this also . TRY IT... I do it at the ramp.

Try Trilene XL, I use it when I want monofilament line with less memory. Mostly I use P line ultimate flourocarbon though

Well at lake Fork you will get less bites if you tie directly to your bait with braid. I have no idea why that is, but it is a FACT on Fork.

If you want a very good co-polymer line with less memory than Big Game, switch to McCoys Mean Green. Very good balance of strength and lack of memory.
T-Line by Mason is another very low memory line.

I tried Suffix both the Elite and the Siege and did not like them. They stretch like a rubber band.

I tried Suffix both the Elite and the Siege and did not like them. They stretch like a rubber band. This is the reason there are different mfgrs and different types of line. I don't think it stretches at all and the 4-7 pounders on Falcon didn't think it stretched either. it is all a matter of personal preference, you should fish what you like.

If they get a chance to look at your bait, it wont look natural if they see a string tied to it ha ha.

I don't think it is a visual thing because you can catch bass on a 5 wire A-rig, maybe because it is moving and you get a reaction bite.
