Awesome report, do you mind if i ask what set up you were throwing with? fast sink? 9wt sink 350 grain 10wt float Both caught fish, but I did better on float. They would eat between surface and 10ft for fly
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

Great to see more Fly Rodders chasin em at Tawakoni. I am one myself! Thanks for sharing and also thanks for letting the big guys swim too! This time of year I find a short sink tip line works pretty well for those depths. Nice thing is it cast's just like a floating line. I also use a Pop-N-Fly type set up as well with my floating line---a big popper tied about 18" above a fly. Pop it hard and strip line through the schooling fish. During the Dead Sticking season, drop a full sink 350 grain line down with a weighted fly and hang on!
