To begin, Thank You sir for your service and dedication. I too am a crappie/ bass fisherman. grew up fishing for everything. got a little older went strictly to crappie (white perch, sac a lait) for about 15 years. Then a friend talked me into joining a bass club, fished it and some local team events, even a Bass event as a none boater. Fished them for 10 years then moved to Eastern Louisiana and went back to crappie fishing. About 7 years ago I was building a house for a man who wanted to go bass fishing. Took him to Lake Fork In the spring, Grass was thick and the bass fishing was phenomena ,with lots of 5,6,and 7 pd fish.Been every spring since, five or six times each spring, four or five days at a time. Have caught lots of quality bass 8.9 personal and the following tear the man I took had a 10.8 (now one of my best friends). When I come back to LA, i pick up my jig poles and dream about Lake Fork in the spring !! Now it takes two days to change crappie gear to bass fishing gear when I make the trip to Fork

Those are some fine looking fish my friend. That's definitely one big ol crappie. Maybe one day I'll make it to fork. I only fish Ray Roberts as it is. Guess it's a comfort kinda thing. I know no matter what I can always catch fish there. I go multiple times a week most of the time. Way I figure I'm gonna try to master this lake as much as a guy can master a lake.

Oh thank god. I thought it was just me.
