Chris called about 10am and I was in the middle of cooking. He said get your butt out here. I am on fish and wish I had a guide trip today. Net Girl took over cooking and said go!

Boy was he on them! We must have caught 200 fish today. Kept 41 10.5 or longer. Could have easily had a limit but we decided when the fish were as full as they were in the one livewell we had plenty. We lost more than enough to make up the other 9 for the double limit. Biggest one we took the time to weigh went 1.74lbs if my old memory serves right. Best 7 would have drawn a check in a tourney at Ray Roberts.

If you have never been out with Chris he is a blast to fish with. This wasn't a guide trip but I left feeling like I needed to pay. Chris is a great fisherman and a better friend.

I lost 2 war horses at the top of the water when Net Girls Pink braid broke at the reel. I'll never use that type of line again. It will be re-spooled shortly.

Thanks again Chris for the invite. Sure beat staying home and throwing stuff at the TV watching the Cowboys.

What was the magic depth today? I figured the fich would be going deeper with all of the fresh water and cold front moving thru,

They were everywhere from 6-18 feet. Some bites you never felt anything more than them sucking in their mouth and over times they would knock the snot out of it. But nearly all mine were hooked deep.

DW you would be proud. One pole one jig and no minners. Not even a crappie nibble. CW had the shakes without either one at first but he made it through it.

I have tried his twitch, shake or what ever he does and can not duplicate. He has something figured out.
