All good advice. I would only add that if you have not yet attempted to "cast" a double nymph rig with split shot and an indicator, your precious few hours on the river are not the best time to figure it out. At best you'll spend most of your time fighting wind knots, at worst you will end up with a new piercing. If you can find time, youtube "how to cast a nymph rig" and then take your set up to the park to practice your cast and knots.
