On Alan Henry, the topwater bite has been VERY consistently good. Caught them on YMs, Chug bugs, Sammy, Spooks, Kinami, buzzbaits, flukes, jerkbaits, etc.. Been a GREAT year for topwater baits. Started in April and is still going on. Hope this helps. If not, come fish Alan Henry and get bit there. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

The top toad frog has been excellent this year, and still is. Haven't had near the luck on ym or any style popper. Water temp drops some more, might help out Nothing better than a big bass blowing up on your frog when it's way back in the flooded grass and brush! 
Skeeter/Yamaha and Love to feel something on the other end!! Lol

I have Not had a Good Top water bite this year at all. I live 10 Mins From Lake Athens, the Lake is Known for schoolers Just went threw 3 solid weeks of Schooling Fish that School all day long!!!!! we had lots of days that we caught 20-40 Fish in Just a couple of hours, could not get them to bite a Top water at all!!! just a fluke and swim bait.

didn't have a good Frog bite this year either. Listening to the "boat dock Talk" on my home lake others didn't do much better.

Ive had great success on buzzbaits this year. Just about all I throw though. Have caught a few on poppers and wake baits. Havent tried any frogs but buzzbaits have been on for me.

They were eating topwaters this morning at Fork. Been one of my best years on most any lake for topwaters.

Got a dozen on top today wading on Grapevine between 10 & 1 before the rain. No big ones but best 5 would go 14 lbs so a nice easy trip.

Last 4 weeks best ever frog bite that I have seen but just ok on poppers and spook.

Good frog year, I don't know about anyone else but is it be because of a high frog population this year, this morning I bet I saw hundreds on the highway. Like grasshoppers around my pond.
