if you are fishing S Tejas & Mexico and are the least bit hot-blooded you will be miserable in 100mph or guidewear 10 months out of the year

i put my 100mph suit up at the end of march and break out the light-weight gear. BPS makes a gore-tex suit that is light weight and definitely keeps you dry.

a rain suit doesn't do you any good if you end up soaking yourself in sweat while wearing it.

I have the cabelas guide wear, the pockets can get wet but otherwise they're good. Take a look at the new HUK suit, its reasonably priced.

Been very happy with my 100mph suit. But as stated its not for hot months. I have a light rainsuit for warmer months.

Simms is a great product but it is not cheap. I would take a look at Gill and Huk as a less expensive alternative.

if it's too warm to wear Goretex, I'll be fishing in the rain in shorts and a tee shirt

I did alot of research last fall on rain gear, Simms was #1 across the board but very spendy, guide wear had very good reports, I bought Frabill f3 jacket and bibs its been an excellent product for me.Very comfortable to wear too the gear comes with options of the f 1 f2 f3 f4 which basically means layers of material, and gives you options for your climate. The price is fair too for a quality product, I bought mine from tackle warehouse during the thanksgiving sale and saved 60 bucks on the set. T.W. has an Icast show video with lots of info.I wear the bibs alot in cooler weather even when its not raining. Huk gear would be worth looking into they make some great products. PS I called frabill to inquire on their sizes the gal there said they run large so I ordered a med set instead of lg. and they fit just right good luck to ya .

When in doubt set the hook..Retie often

I have the Frogg Togg bib and jacket for when it is hot and it works great and I use the Bass Pro 100mph on cold weather and it is great also....good combination.
