I just read over on 360tuna.com that Capt. Russell (Pork Chop) quit.
Any thoughts on that?

Yeah ... Capt. Jay was at the helm when the Cat pulled out Friday morning. Fred is on that trip and I plan to ask him what he knows. I got along great with Chops. Just like clockwork he'd come by and catch me sitting down taking a breather at 2 AM when the bite was just heating up and say ....."Get up Bobby got to get em while they're hot" .... "no resting Bobby, wing it out there" ..... "you retying again Bobby?"

I poked him in the eye with a rod tip going upstairs on the last trip. I know he was up all night trying to put us on fish even when there were only a handful of us still fishing. I will miss him not being in charge.

Russell was having some health problems when I saw him last this summer. I wonder if that was a factor in all of this. He was noticeably thinner in August for the deep drop trip. Just another factor to consider. I hope he is doing well.
