Can't wait for this one!!! The big ones are starting to get shallower out there... Time to put the spinnerbait to work!

Headed to RR next weekend to check it out, have not fished it in years. Looking forward to donating some coin to the North Texas sticks.

I'm not seeing, but my eyes aren't that good...This being an "OPEN", does that mean no membership fee?

I hit the lake yesterday, and can confirm that the 6" bass are VERY plentiful, and VERY dumb. They're pretty little fish though... Thick, fat & mean... I finally got tired of catching them and started flipping a 12" power worm. Caught a 5lb and a couple 3's flipping trees in 10'. There's quite a bit of bait moving into the creeks, and lots of the fish I caught were spitting up shad.

That is correct this is an OPEN event sponsored by Columbia Performance Fishing Gear. It is open to all, and there is NO membership fee.

Karl we will be out at Ray Roberts Marina early Friday to start setting up. People can come by anytime to register and hang out. Officially I believe we are calling the Friday pre-registration from 5pm to 9pm. (Unoffically let's say anytime from noon to midnight we will be hanging out) We will grill up cheeseburgers for people as they are hungry, and the complimentary Lone Stars/Lone Star Lights will be iced down.
Saturday morning registration will be from 5am-7am for those who can't make it out Friday. During weigh in we will provide sausage wraps and more ice cold complimentary beverages.

There is no off limits, not sure about trailering I will ask the TDs. Early weather reports look good for this weekend. Saturday looks really good with a high of 80, and a low of 63 right around take off at 7am. Partly cloudy with 10mph wind, yes please, sign me up for that!!!

Is this a trailering event? I read the website but it said it wasn't then next line it said it was, also is there an off limits for the event? Thank you in advance. Aaron I spoke with Brian and we are implementing the standard TTZ trailering policy for this event. At all TTZ events we have livewell checks and release teams in the order of the boat number they draw. You can launch from any ramp and come over for livewell checks and take off, if you don't want to launch at the Ray Roberts Marina. If you choose to trailer your boat, you still have to come to check in at Ray Roberts Marina, you still have to have your livewells checked, and you can leave the parking lot to head to another ramp when we call your boat number. Additionally, it is your responsibility to check back in with the TTZ staff before your flight is due later that afternoon. We want all anglers to follow the same rules, we will all leave the Ray Roberts Marina when our boat numbers are called, we will all have our livewells checked, and we will all check back in the same location when our flights are due. If you choose to drive by boat or by truck to your first spot that is your decision. Just an FYI, for the people who do not trailer, when you return to weigh in we will have a staff member checking you in as you pull back into the marina. Just shout your boat number to them as you pull by and then you can go weigh in your fish, thank you.

Here is a map of the marina layout we will be using this weekend. The TTZ stage will be between the two ramps and right next to the field we have reserved for parking. TTZ staff members will be helping direct anglers when parking in order to maintain order for ease of entrance and exit. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you all this weekend!
