I like the danforth-style anchor with a chain (for sure).

if you like those then you would love the diggers i have those ones ou mention i cant get them to hook up all the time that is why i used a break drum and a river anchor held nice a tight one in a wind storm the 1/2 in rope snapped boat did not move those but they were just to heavy and i iknow now i will alway be able to get them back not mate if they are hung up on not first day I had them i purposly got them hung up they did just what the were supose to do gave it a good jerk the spring loaded shaft flipped and they came straight out

Surprised more people aren't using box anchors.

I run box anchors with a 3 to 5 foot chain. I run the bigger rope and try to keep about 300ft in the front and 150-200ft in the back.

Recently I was watching some You Yube vids with Steve Douglas and he had one video that talked about anchors and anchor rope and gave his opinion on some good rope at Home Depot that he prefers to use, I thought it was pretty informative and I might go back and re review cause I think it is about time for me to change out my ropes and get some better anchors.
