Early weather reports look good for this weekend. Saturday looks really good with a high of 80, and a low of 63 right around take off at 7am. Partly cloudy with 10mph wind, yes please, sign me up for that!!!

Did I read it right that the bass have to be 14" minimum ??
Did the slot limit go away on Ray Roberts ??
Also, is there a off limits period prior to the tournament ??

Very interested in fishing this, please advise on these questions..

Thanks,
James Moore

If you look on the TPWD lake restrictions page you will notice that Ray Roberts is no longer listed. THERE IS NO SLOT ON RAY ROBERTS. As such the normal state fishing regulations apply.

Thanks Mr.John....
Sounds great !!!!!
Any idea of how many boats are already signed up??

1 last question : Can you launch anywhere on the lake as long as you are at the marina for take off and live well check?? (Just thinking the marina may not have enough parking )

The marina has assured us they will have plenty of field area available for this event. We will get it coned off and ready. But yes in all TTZ events we allow people to use whatever ramp they choose. You just have to come in for take off and weigh in at the designated location.

This was asked on another thread, thought I would post it here as well....

Aaron I spoke with Brian and we are implementing the standard TTZ trailering policy for this event.

At all TTZ events we have livewell checks and release teams in the order of the boat number they draw. You can launch from any ramp and come over for livewell checks and take off, if you don't want to launch at the Ray Roberts Marina. If you choose to trailer your boat, you still have to come to check in at Ray Roberts Marina, you still have to have your livewells checked, and you can leave the parking lot to head to another ramp when we call your boat number. Additionally, it is your responsibility to check back in with the TTZ staff before your flight is due later that afternoon.

We want all anglers to follow the same rules, we will all leave the Ray Roberts Marina when our boat numbers are called, we will all have our livewells checked, and we will all check back in the same location when our flights are due. If you choose to drive by boat or by truck to your first spot that is your decision.

Just an FYI, for the people who do not trailer, when you return to weigh in we will have a staff member checking you in as you pull back into the marina. Just shout your boat number to them as you pull by and then you can go weigh in your fish, thank you.

Here is a map of the marina layout we will be using this weekend. The TTZ stage will be between the two ramps and right next to the field we have reserved for parking. TTZ staff members will be helping direct anglers when parking in order to maintain order for ease of entrance and exit.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you all this weekend!

That little cool off coming this week looks nice, might even get a bit chilly sleeping at the ramp Friday night. Probably going to have to break out the TTZ hoodie. We will bring some shirts and hoodies with us in case anybody wants to buy some gear.

I thought I saw a list of all the raffle prizes for this tournament but can't find it now. Am I mistaking?

There is not a raffle but all anglers will be receiving prizes upon registration. Anglers will receive a Columbia PFG hat ($25 value), a 20% off coupon from Columbia PFG, we are having tackle pack give aways from Grande Bass, TTZ will be providing cheeseburgers and cold beverages for anglers who want to come out Friday for early registration, sausage wraps and cold beverages for anglers at weigh-in Saturday afternoon, and Columbia will be offering gift cards in addition to the cash payouts to the top 10 anglers. First place will received a $250 Columbia PFG gift card, 2nd-10th place will receive a $100 Columbia gift card.
