Why don't you just send rod back to them and have them fix it?

Sounds like it should be covered for free due to defective material..........

If only their dealer network supported the warranty programs...

That was one of the main reasons I bought into Dobyns and I didn't find out that dealer participation was voluntary until I had a problem. Some dealers participate and are easy to work with (LFT, Fishin World), and others not so much (Oak Ridge).

I'm buying Berkley lightning rods from here on out.

Thats gonna be next on the list. Should've insisted on that in the first place instead of sending me parts.
