Kitok's, a lip-locker with oriental fries and tea in Waco will set you back $10 but is a great lunch. On the circle is Healthcamp, which is anything but healthy, a Super Health Burger (double-double all the way) with fries and a shake, about $12.00 worth of burger greatness. Pena's Country Store in Rosenthal won best burger in the county a few years ago, but I think their kitchen got closed. Golinda Store, a few more miles down the road, has really good burgers. They're so juicy you'll need elbow coasters. Burger, fries, and a fountain coke for $7.99.

Dang, I nearly forgot Cupp's, right behind the BK on I-35 in Waco near Baylor. Great burgers but even better fried hotdogs and twice-fried fries (you gotta' ask for twice-fried). You can get out of there for just under $10.00 with a drink.

Rays diner in Lufkin has a pretty solid burger. I ate there the other day and it was real good.

Hubcap Grill,Downtown Houston. Featured on the Texas Bucket List show,so had to give it a try. My wife and I was headed from Ft.Worth to Galveston for a short vacation,so we stopped to try the burgers. This is a very small, but unique place to get a burger. My wife ordered a regular cheeseburger, which was huge. I ordered the burger featured on the show, the Phillycheesesteak Burger...GAME OVER BOYS!!! Best we have ever had, and it's not even close!!! My wife agreed.

Hubcap Grill is great. They opened one in Kemah also.

We stopped at Kemah on our why home yesterday, and noticed the Kemah Hubcap Grill too! We did eat lunch at Kemah, but not looking for a burger, we chose T-Bone Tom's. Excellent chicken fried steak and sides!Place was packed at 1:00 on Tuesday...

Mudbones in Bonham is really good. Bacon cheeseburger with all the trimmings is the bomb. Drink and chips included in price.

Tornado Burger in Houston has some great burgers.Double cheese burger with fries and a drink around $9. They have spicy burger with chopped jalapeno and garlic in the patty that everyone but me loves too much garlic for my taste. But they great burgers with crispy fries.

Wife and I finally ate at the Jake's in Flower Mound I liked everything about the place. A little pricey but food and service top notch.

I used to like Jake's, but they have just gotten too expensive. You have to order everything separately which runs up the bill. Their calling card is the seeded bun and big onion slice. Otherwise, it is not all that great.
