Wasn't too funny at the beginning but after watching the video its a pretty good laugh. Well had to edit this to let tall know I was sitting on a sand bar casting into 12' of water do I normally would have just went to the lure but it would have been a pain in the [censored] to do that so I tried the lazy way. And oh man was I frustrated by this point in the day.

Ummmm what did I just watch? Pretty clear as to why you don't pull a snag free like that.........good job on breaking your rod. Almost like you purposely did it.

Grabbed the rod in the middle and jerked while hung and it broke? Surprised? Nice videos of people doing stupid stuff so I can "armchair quarterback" their actions after the fact are always appreciated! :-)

It did seem to break a bit easier than I'd expect.

But, it didn't help when you put the heel of your left hand up on the mid-length of the rod. It turned that point into a fulcrum.

The only analogy I can think of is how one might break a large branch or stick by bending it across your flexed knee to snap it. Instead of the pressure coming from one end, it suddenly gets doubled and focused on the fulcrum . . . from two levered ends. You inadvertently loaded up two pressures on the rod in a very concentrated area. Pop.

Still, I'm either a bit unimpressed with the rod, or super-impressed by your physical strength!
