Grass hoppers are huge some of the biggest I've ever seen, broom weed is 5' tall in some areas, dove are thick like Jarret stated. Saw lots of hogs as well. Put the camera out and a little protein, gonna be interesting to see what kind of horns we get this year.

At my deer lease in uvalde we are covered up in quail. Bobwhites and blues. We aren't hunting them to allow population to grow. Pretty birds to watch while setting in a blind.

I haven't hunted, seen, or heard a bobwhite in over 40 years. Sure brings back memories of chasing them around Kiowa Peak out west of Knox City growing up.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

The above fore mentioned have hurt their population. Different farming techniques have been a big demise.
