Oh and can you enlighten me on the type of hooks that were on that jug. Any hook that can keep a fish hooked for two days is a must have. I want some of those hooks too !!

It isn't your jug you should just leave it alone.

Picking up someone's fishing lines is illegal and removing the fish would have cost ya lots if caught. However, it also can cost ya lots if you get tangled up in your prop if the line gets deep into the prop where it can damage the seals. But to pick up the line and remove the fish ...not good. I have passed by many fishing lines with fish on them...I just leave them as I find them ..even after two days. I also use beer cans filled with cement...works good ...the only lines I loose is those that are picked up by other fishermen who usually take the whole set up as it is faster to take the line and everything as it is faster and easier to take. Weights are not illegal to use for a jug or throw line. Game wardens should know this...not left up to their judgement. I have been fishing for a long time and no problems getting lines in props....so far. Don't mess with other peoples lines.. only a game warden is legally allowed to pickup a line.

They way I see it is if somebody spends 50% of their time tending their own bidnez and the other 50% staying out of mine they will have a full time job. My jug/noddles will always be free floating in accordance with the law. Oh, and I best not catch anybody running my jugs.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
