They need to let more water out of Bridgeport! Homeowners up there are in a panic due to the high waters levels. They are having a hard time getting their cars out of those carports below the houses!! How is that possible with the lake being about 1' low now? I think the "carports" he is referring to are actually the boathouses that you could use as carports when the lake was 25 feet low.

Those boathouses are adjustable. Sounds like they need to adjust them and not expect the TRWD lower the lake for them.

TRWD told me once, they lose more water from it evaporating from the river as it flows to EM, than from evaporation on the lake itself. Also the gates are barely open. They have been for a couple of weeks now. Just keeping up with consumption and lawn watering in Ft. Worth. BP still looks really good for a while. Once the lake fills up it actually has a huge amount of surface area. We shouldn't be able to tell a major difference in the lake level for quite some time, even if they continue to allow some to go south. I just wish they would shut the gates on Friday and open them on Monday. I think they catch rates would increase somewhat.
