Thanks for sharing. The water looks great, but it's sad to see all the damage to the park.

Lake Level is 241.44. 3.44 ft. above normal. The gates were closed due to the flash flooding downstream of the lake.

Catfish love Chartreuse. I've had great luck catching them on Chartreuse/black and Chartreuse/White Flies.

The State park is waiting on the federal, state & TPWD inspectors to give the OK. Sources suggest that Nails creek boat ramp is likely to reopen first but the whole park is looking at mid October and will reopen a little at a time. There is significant damage to infrastructure some of which we cannot see like road base and dying but not dead yet trees. Erosion is going to be a problem for some time now until the vegetation can regrow and hold the soil.

The COE had predicted way back in June that by Labor Day the lake would be back to normal level.. sounds like they know what they were talking about.. now to get all the parks back online and operational..
