Remember people: you are not allowed to clean fish on Lake Lavon. As an example, my clients from yesterday, said they built of really nice fish cleaning station on their dock. The game wardens came down and told them to disassemble it and not to clean fish on the lake anymore. I have been told two times not to clean fish at the lake. So if you come out to the lake and fish, you must take your catch home and clean them at your home residence, campground, or RV. This is not a debate. It's just what the Park rangers, sheriff, and Game Wardens are saying. I know one of the biggest reasons is poaching in the winter at marina docks. People were keeping way over their limit of crappie and one of the gentleman last year was even selling them. So make sure if you come out with a guide on the trip bring a cooler big enough to transport your fish home and clean them -yes it's a little bit of a hassle, but it is what it is.

Where is hybrid point?

First point due east from the island straight across the main lake.

Last night we had the power plant point and immediately started catching fish within a couple minutes. Lasted for about 30 minutes and the fish vanished. Went over to hybrid point and they were going ballistic. Ended up with 64 mags and who knows how many 10 to 12 inchers. Clients kept 40 to take home released everything else after that. Fish were in 15 to 26 foot. Surface activity is starting. Hopefully within two weeks they will start boiling every morning and evening.

I am at Lake Texoma at the current moment chasing striper so hopefully I'll have something to report later.

We went to Lavon Friday morning, found school activity in the Am and around 12. Only problem was all we were catching was little fish... tried different size bait etc, must have found the baby schools out there. Found several spots with fish stacked but no keepers, same with crappie.... Dunno what else to do.

I'm not so sure anyone can tell me what I can do on my own property!
Unless TPWD has very recently put a new law in their book....

I'm all for not cleaning fish at the ramps/parking lots....
But, leave my boat dock and lake home out of that equation .......

Not trying to start a pi$$ing match, but if your boat dock is on a public lake, more than likely it is on the lake right of way and not your property. Just a thought.

Probably a boat slip at a marina, don't think Lavon has any private docks.

I'm out of the game for a week or two. Looks like mini- Tarponfly is going to pop out today!

I should resume crappie and Sandies trips on Lavon in 2 weeks or so.

Call capt Larry or capt Dusty for sandy trips. They are on them as well.
