Hybrid Point 7:10 am they moved up on the flats. They disappeared at 7:45.

Landed 60-70. Kept 11's and up which ended up being 45 keepers.

Felt good to finally catch some fish after spending
most of the summer off the lake. Even had several doubles.
Thanks for the invite, Carey.

Hero to zero.

Today, we landed to keep her sand bass, a crappie, one channel cat

Could not find the main school.

Park rangers were diving with scuba gear at the end of the ramp today testing for zebra mussels. They pulled out an anchor fishingrod and a trolling motor. Trolling motor might actually still work I have to tinker with it. If you lost a trolling motor or a fishing rod or an anchor @ Collin Park boat ramp PM me what you lost and if it is it that item I will return it. I also found a seat floating that is connected to a small pedestal on a metal frame. Looks like it belongs to one of you guises John boats. If you lost that I also have that rolling around the back my truck.

Warning: if you're planning to go to Lake Lavon this Saturday and Sunday and you're planning to fish, I would highly recommend you get out of the water by 9:30 AM. If you do not, plan on waiting up to an hour to get your boat out. Once everybody wakes up and heads to the lake -it is a madhouse at that ramp along with little Ridge. If you like to pack a gun on your fishing trips I recommend you leave it at home or you are bound to shoot somebody at the ramp.

Otherwise if you want to good laugh, bring some lawn chairs cooler sunglasses and sunscreen: prop up under the tree next to the ramp and enjoy the show. It is absolutely amazing what you will see this weekend at the ramps. Also remember to back straight in as straight as possible or you will go off the side of the ramp and possibly get stuck. There are cones lining up where to launch. Please do not run over the cones. They are there to navigate you back straight into the water. Again if you go to far to the left or too far to the right by jackknifing your trailer you will go off of the extension they dropped at the side of the ramp. It is a concrete slab extension from a picnic table kiosk foundation. You have a tin roof picnic table in the concrete but the picnic table sits on. They took one of those concrete foundations and dropped it at the end of the ramp to extended out. There is no reason to bury your trailer to get it into the water. Most boats you don't even need to get your tires went to launch from Collin Park.

How come I keep catching small fish when every product I buy is supposed to catch more and bigger fish?

FY I, Siri typed this all disregard spelling as usual.

But I am not kidding about the ramp it's crazy on Saturdays- especially on holidays Saturdays.

One of the workers of the park said they're expecting over 3000 people this weekend.

That ramp gets crazy even on a normal weekend, no way in hell I would be trying it over Labor Day - even if I was gonna be in town.

Tough luck Carey, they seem to be extremely hit or miss this year. If anybody can figure 'em out you will.

My boat is a few blocks from Collin Park. I will drive past my boat just to get good seat at the ramp Lol. Great entertainment value. Anyone know what is all the major constructions going on outside of Collin? New shopping center or new residential? Major major construction and bet the property value there skyrocketed....

Looks like they are building ponds at that Contruction site so I'm sure it will be housing. It's a bit too far to have a shopping center in BFE.

Checked out Collin Park Marina around 4PM. Brought a kayak, so I did not need to use the boat ramp. Good thing... parking area was full. Fished the Tire Reef and had a miss and one little White Bass. Today's Video.

This morning day popped up at 7:08 in the morning and ended at 8:15 in the morning. Got doubles every couple casts. Limited out on Sandbass, then went looking for Crappie for the next 30 to 45 minutes. Caught a couple drinks and only two keepers. We only fished only two brush piles before we had to go. Live baby gizzards for crappie and slab and jig for Sandies. They actually boiled for about 15 minutes at one point in about 2 foot of water at hybrid point.

Pm trip was a kid trip and man the wind was bad. Try to push to a new day but they wanted to try anyways. Ended up getting a nice 14.5 inch crappie and some average sized ones. Crappie were in 10-12 ft. Seems there were only 1 to 2 maybe three fish and each brush pile that we fished.
