just adding to this...the lightweight fins by creek company are pretty good fins. i was surprised, because they don't look like they'd be. they're comfortable, light, and do exactly what is needed. just fyi to anybody else looking, and they're cheap.

CC fins do float, pack thinner than most, and have an open toe area which works well with anything from boots to river sandals or even barefoot- so tippy toes don't chafe. PC

For the fins that don't float, you can get fin keeper straps that you can use. You wrap and clamp them around your shins.

I use Aeris Mako dive fins. They are sized to fit over neoprene dive boots. California requires us to use chest waders year round. I have a nylon cord connected to the fins and clipped to a fabric loop at the bottom of the waders in case the heal strap breaks. I also carry a spare heal strap with me in the tube. If you loose a fin it can be a long kick back to your launch point.

I cancelled my order with Amazon for the fins in the picture above because the delivery date was months from now. Couldn't believe it. Will call Classic Accessories Customer Service next week to see if I can order them direct and get them delivered in a week.

Classic Assessories is sold out of those fins, won't have more anytime soon, so I cancelled the order and am looking at other brands. Looks like Creek Company has some that are very similar. Have an old pair I'm using now, so can wait until I start wearing waders for cold water, I.e. not in a rush to buy.
