he gave up on us and started a new thread..and yep the prop is not a 16".. Can anyone with a 1998 nitro 700lx with a 90hp tracker( mercury), or anyone with knowledge on these boats, tell me what size and pitch the factory prop was? I currently have a 13.75 x 22 laser II ss three blade prop and it wont get out of the hole. .....back to you Chet...

I was mistaking the model number for diameter but I was wrong about that..from what im seeing the diameter is 13.75 and the pitch is 22 ..I may try a smaller pitch and see what happens ..if not I guess ill have to take it into the shop..someone mentioned a water logged hull..I hope that is not the problem..if it is the problem, is their any way to fix that? Im assuming the prop on it isnt factory so im gonna try to go factory specs and see what happens.

I would think a 22 is too much pitch on a 90. I ran a 19 when I had a 85 HP Evinrude on a 15' Tidecraft. I pulled skiers with it and it planed fine.

if that laser II is the older version.. you may want us to drill PVS holes in the barrel.
that will help get it on plane, then you can dial in the max rpms with pitch changes,etc.
