The trip went very well. That strong south wind is a booger especially at the end of the day. The 8 mile "float" is not for sissies!

Excellent video, as always Ben!!! thumb

theduke, The best fishing was right below the dam. 1/4 ounce white rooster tails fished deep was the ticket.

Ok I saw 2 gentleman down there about an hour ago. When I pulled into west I passed a group of yakers leaving the Czech stop. Will Dicks Outpost shuttle you back to the damn or do they only do that if you use their equipment?

Wow! The river has changed so much! I can't wait to get down there again.

At current flow, would you recommend a day trip half way down and back up? It's not too bad paddling back when they are generating, but it might be a little tough with the extra flow.

Cool vid, William

The guys all agreed that we could have caught lots of fish in the first two or three miles of the river and paddled a lot less. It is very tough when you get to that last mile or so before the take out. That strong south wind will really kick you in the keester.. I have started building a sail for my yak so when it comes time to paddle back up the Brazos I can use the wind to help wink It might just work!
