Thanks guys it was a fun day for sure, I keep telling my wife when it gets hot I'll trim my beard. This week will be the test for sure 99 on monday and 102 tuesday. I wear the same hat everyday it's not my lucky hat just provided for free and I probably have been through 2-3 hats since the sign pics. Only down side was these fish were caught shallow, I keep looking for fish out deep every trip, but they are just not out there. All fish yesterday were caught less than 5ft of water, wish they were in 15ft honestly. They always want us to shave.....the beard gives you the "I JUST CATCH BASS!" look I just keep telling her I got an early start on my winter coat for deer season. Gotta stay warm

Guess I need to get back out there... I've never thrown a jig there. It's been good to me on squarebills, beavers and brush hogs. Has the water cone down any? Last time I was there, it was flowing over the spillway

It full pool right now, it comes down quickly the way the spillway is designed. Big girls are eating right now, had a 9.1 and a 8.5 weighted in last Sunday in the weekly tournament. I didn't fish not real sure what the winning bag was but it's been taking 20-22lbs every week. Been some solid sacks brought in in half a day of fishing. Hopefully I can luck into another solid fish in the morning.

Is Kiowa open to the public? I don't believe it is. I think you have to fish with a resident who lives in the community/on the lake.

Has some drawbacks and some positives with it being that way. Caught some more chunks today 20lbs 15oz for 1st place and tied for bb of 6lbs 4oz. Was a tight way in though 2nd place was 20lbs 10oz. Some nice fish weighted in for a half day several other 18 and 19lbs sacks.
