Donnie McLemore
sex: male
Age: 35
Married: 3 years, two kids 13 and 14 (inherited in marriage hehe). Son likes to fish. He's also into football since he's 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds at 13...(Makes a good bodyguard).
Wife's name is Katherine, thus the Kat-man-do. I also like to catfish so it seemed like a good name. I am getting vanity plates that say "Kat Man". Of course you and I know it means katfish but Katherine thinks it means her...:P
Hobbies: Fishing for catfish and anything else, getting into crappie alot lately, not real interested in largemouth bass though. I also enjoy playing pocket billiards (not to be confused with pocket pool). I have a table at home and I have been playing most of my life. Other than fishing, it's a great pastime that allows me to unwind after work with a cold one.
Home: Round Rock, Texas
Occupation: Equipment Technician (ion implant/films/metals) at a semiconductor fab. (noticed there are lots of us here)
Boat type: 2 years ago I bought a used ProMaster center console 1850. It was in bad shape electrically and none of the pumps worked, the trailer needed new tires and new hubs and most everything else on it that could be bad was bad. I have gotten it running really good and it's a totally different boat now. I have considered trading it in for a new one but I have it rigged for the type of fishing I do so anything else would be starting over with payments to boot, so I will stick with this one until it no longer suits my needs.
Pets: I have two catfish in an aquarium that I caught at Granger. They were solid white when I caught them and now they are black. They are about 12" long. They love minnows and I test out certian baits on them to see how they react. No names for them yet, they are 1.5 years old (guessing)
Sports? I like fishing and shooting pool, if those are sports. I suppose football is ok and I like the Spurs. I am also an Allen Iverson fan. I can't sit in one place long enough to watch TV. I would rather be out cleaning and preping the boat or out fishing or taking the family out to eat and a movie. Anything is better than watching TV.
I like lots of different music. Most of my collection is country and western. Lots of George Strait and Asleep at the Wheel. I like Texas Swing. I also listen to some pop music. There are several Austin bands I like to listen to, since I love live music as well.
Favorite movie: Probably Saving Private Ryan. Pet Detective, Sniper, any Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan movie. There are lots of good movies though. Little Big Man is a great one as are the John Wayne movies.
I am learning more and more everyday that I know less than I thought I did yesterday. I suppose I am becoming dumber. I consider myself to be an open minded person. I think everyone who is able to do so should be responsible for themselves and thier actions. I generally vote Republican however I consider myself to be fiscally conservative yet liberal when it comes to human rights. I am an avid gun owner and believe strongly in the right to bear arms. I served 4 years in the USAF in PMEL which is basically a calibration lab.
Nice to meet you all. Hope we get to fish together someday.
Donnie McLemore

Name: Larry Age: 33 Location: Ft. Worth near Keller Occupation: RF Electronic Tech for Telecom Co. Previously 10 yrs in the US Navy Not married anymore, single parent of beautiful 10yr old daughter. I think that may be a curse(Dads w/ daughters should understand). I'm also her soccer coach U-11 girls team. My first rule is no talking about boys at my practice. Hey I'm just trying to warn them and watch out for the other dads. Heck they are only in the 5th grade. Have been w/ girlfriend Gabriela for 4 yrs she has two great boys ages 10 and 13yrs old.None of the above fish and dont know if she is going to be able to cope w/ the strain from my fishing much longer. Hope she doesn't make me choose. Went to more than 1 High School -Brewer was the best graduated in 86. Born on the coast of S. Carolina but raised in Texas. Fished with my best friend as I grew up here. We mostly fished on the Brazos up to Decordova Dam at Lake Granbury. Also Lake Worth and Benbrook but mostly creeks and rivers that feed them. We learned everything the hard way. Salt rock, chased by a bull, use to spit or thump snakes on head w/ rod while wade fishing to keep them from biting (learned they can bite underwater later), and most important learned there is no better place to be than outdoors. Miss the sea also fished SOCAL, Puerto Rico,S. Florida, and S. Carolina. Was able to fish some other exotic locations while in the Navy what a blast.Got rid of my last boat in Puerto Rico and now use my canoe or belly boat. Envy my longtime fishing buddy who moved to Rusk and has a simple life in the country. Hope to meet more people to fish w/ on the forum. Music- like all kinds Hobbies- Obviously fishing, also hunting and diving(spearfishing).

Ron Virnelson Married 34 years and everday is and has been a negotiated settlement. 2 grown sons... at least they say they are grown since they won't take any advice from me ... but I'm not sure they ever did. 57 - and still 19 between my ears which causes me to feel like dirt warmed over when I let my testosterone overcome my lack of wisdom teeth. Bought the first boat in '72 in central Florida and bought the last one in March of 2001... with 8 or 9 mostly bass boats in between. And planning on a couple more before the End of It. 3rd generation Dallasite but lived the coporate gypsy life until '75 and Carrollton since then. There used to be a picture of me down the hall standing with my arms framed around the State of Texas stone in Denison with the caption... they fly airplanes outta this place ... I don't have to live anywhere else. Work had always been in consumer goods Sales as a chain retail specialist, everything from HBA products, refrigerated food products, ran a sporting goods distributorship, regional & national accounts manager for a firearms importer, national accounts manager for a linen company, owned a gift & linen showroom in the Dallas World Trade Center and worked New York & San Francisco Markets, and now in the Supplemental Health Insurance business for the last 3 years. Sold boats, cars, financing programs during the transition years after I got off the road. My travel now is strictly for pleasure and on my schedule instead of coast to coast and up to 50 weeks a year at times.
Music can be anything from Gershwin to Sinatra to Buddy Holly to the Beatles to the Eagles, Willie Nelson, original Hank Williams & U2 but primarily the golden age of Classic Rock N Roll. But it has to be real and not just noise. Movies - Easy Rider, Top Gun, In Harms Way, Shane, Hitchcock, Hoffman, Redford, Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda (Hanoi Jane still needs to be wearing a target! and they will need to put an electric fence around her grave so I don't pee on it!!), John Wayne, Patton, French Connection 1, Lily's of the Field, Rocky 1, Dr Zhivago, Home From the Hill, Papillion, Hombre, and... "I love the smell of naplam in the morning & Charly don't surf" and too many more.
Own a lake house at Texoma and fish for stripers there but fell in love with Saltwater about 6 years ago. Ya never know what is going to stretch your string.
Food ...Yeah Baby!! my favorite thing is find the out of the way killer spots like ... The Sand Dollar at Folly Beach off Charleston SC for Pompano Almondine, Mama's at the Panama City boat basin for homeade Eggplant Parmesan with crab & shrimp, Cattlemans in Lincoln Nebraka for 2" thick butterflyed Pork Chops over a hickory grill, Tale Of the Trout for Quail& Rainbows in Rogers Arkansas, the Lowake Inn or Zentners in San Angelo, the Corral in Tuscon, the Oak Cliff Texas styled Mexican food place in Cincinatti behind the hospital!, Bern's in Ybor City Tampa, Sea Bass with shitaki mushrooms upstairs over the maina office at the Sausalito Marina, the Cadillac grill & Garcia's in Matamoros ... and too many other places better than airplane food or Mickey D's.
Hobbies - travel, fishing, squeezing the last 1/4" out of a centerfire rifle by handloading -.270's will always outshoot 30/06's !!!, hunting deer- axis whitetail sika, moose in Finland & Canada, Elk & Mulies in Colorado, raising tomatoes, raised bird dogs for 10 years - Goldens & Setters, researching the next trip to get the most in the shortest period for the cheapest price. I'll get to Africa yet- had a deal done and then Rhodesia became Zimbabwe... and I wasn't into shooting at people just because they a had a curved magazine under their rifle... if I had been I could have gone for free and made a little profit on head counts.... Planning a retirement home outside of Dallas other than the lakehouse at Texoma - too close to Dallas, with a cabin or condo on the gulf coast 1st & then maybe around Estes Nat'l Park in Colorado or Asheville North Carolina if there is any money left.
I follow the Stars more than the Cowboys now that JJ is doing his Al Davis thing. When you say the "Cowboys" to me I remember just those guys who now should be on the Ring or in the Hall although Jimmy did work some magic with the "Triplets". It still grinds me that the fool from Oklahoma is wearing a Ring!!.
Pet Peeves are stupid low classed trashy obnoxious rude holier than thou people who assume I am stupid and somehow less than they are when it comes to how to live my life or that they are better than I am because of what they do for a living, what they drive, where they went to school or their religious beliefs. Overpriced overhyped over the top products of poor quality and advertising that insults my intelligence. I am a firm believer of the 10 Commandments and very little else matters when it comes to religion, no matter what color, race, creed, or sex a person is... but I will defend to the death your ability to say whatever you want to say no matter how offensive to me personnaly it is. My father paid that price and so did too many members of my generation that are on the Wall. Power to the Snuffy still means something to me! RV

For collectors of useless information, and folks who have nothing better to learn, here's a bio, updated 11-17-02, after meeting the love of my life, Billie, via the internet and moving from Del Rio to Giddings. Name: Ross Parsons Age 66, ouch! Address PO Box 626 Giddings, Tx 78942 phone 979-542-6087
Retired newspaper reporter, photographer and outdoors columnist. I Also spent 20 years as the daily TV outdoors broadcaster in West Palm Beach, FL. I currently spend entirely too much time at the computer, free-lancing outdoors and travel magazine articles, and not enough time fishing. Along with a hundred published magazine articles, I have also generated three novels, but we wont go into any long sob stories about submissions and rejections.). Ive always have been a fish chaser, (occasionally a fish catcher) since the day my Dad hoisted my five-year-old frame onto his shoulders to show me how to swing a fly rod, while he chased trout in streams across New York and Penn. Since then Ive wet lines in many miles of deep and shallow salt water, and chased anything wearing fins across a thousand bodies of fresh water My Coast Guard license expired in the late 90's and I didnt bother renewing, despite r surviving the joys of serving as a licensed charter captain in southeast Florida, offshore, inshore and across Floridas lakes and rivers. I used to ive 10 miles west of Del Rio, within sight of Amistad Reservoir. My current home in Giddings offers me a lot more water to fish, which naturally makes me happy.

Does she fish? Cause believe me brother. If you get serious about fishing, and she doesn't fish. You'll be cutting into her time. Trust me.

ok i called the wedding off. i asked if i could buy another boat, and she said you already have one! the gall! everyone knows that there is always a bigger better boat out there. mine is a little poor mans basstracker. i need one of those 21 ft. (house payment)nitros. she also doesnt like to fish. however i consider this to be a plus. ill need somewhere to meet up with my buddies and have a beer or 20. seriously. i love her with all of my heart and could not imagine my life without her. we dated back in highschool. then broke up for awhile (10 years). i called her up and offered to make dinner for her. it was akward for about 10 seconds and then it was like nothing had ever changed between us. she makes me a much better person. she doesnt like to bait her line, or take the fish off, but she likes to hook em. shes just like a little girl when she catches a fish. its so cute. i will gradually pull her down to my level. then she will love to hunt and fish all the time. either that or shell drag me kicking and screaming up to her level and ill only be able to go fishing vicariously through all of you guys. unless i was going on a fishing/business trip. any of you guys need some cabinets, your house remodeled , furniture, or your new home trimmed? i only have meetings on the lake. it also makes it much better if we actually catch fish.
