I've been a Lowrance guy for years. I tried Hummingbird and within months sold it and came back home. Garmin is a very good produce. The lakes that they have mapping on are the bomb. They do their own maps.

WHat do you like?? I have lowrance and think the sonar is a bit better. I think hhummibird has a bit better structure scan. Raymarine are amazing too. I have the DI on 2 units now and can't complain.... The humminbirds are good units...

I have a buddy that guides and he loves his Lowrance.... the only negative thing he has to say about it is the waterproofing. He says he has had to return 3 due to water intake. Thanks for that advise, I had not heard that....

Thanks for that advise, I had not heard that.... They had this problem with the first HDS gen 1 units years ago. I have never had this problem or known anyone that has with the touch units.
