Absolutely pathetic and childish a grown man would act that way. There are plenty of folks that have made me mad but I would never act in such a manner. He should be ashamed of himself.

I think there is more to the story. You would really have to make someone angry for them to do something like this. If it is just the guy didn't like the guy fishing his spot, then that must be one hell of a spot.

I agree with that!

Obviously cheated? I think you are jumping to conclusions. I wouldn't label someone a cheater for breaking an off-limits rule, its possible he did it unknowingly, later realized it and simply declined to fight the DQ and opted not to take a poly. Putting the man in the same category as Robby Rose is a little off base, IMO. Cheating is willingly and knowingly violating the rules to gain an advantage. I know quite a few people that have been DQ'd from tournaments that are not cheaters.

Yes it is. Felony charge here in Texas. Doesn't matter if you are fishing or hunting.

Hunter harassment is a crime in Maryland, but not angler harassment. Not sure if a state statute about interfering with a guy making a living or whatever, didn't look into that.

I would pay to have his WayPoint broadcasted all over AM and FM radio! Maybe even run an add in his local classified with his WayPoint and name? 2 can play at that game!

You may want to check that. It is a Class B Misdemeanor. Fine $200 up to $2000. Up to 180 days in jail. Referred to as the Sportsmen's Rights Act.

He needs to be banned from tournaments for the rest of his life. This man is trying to make a living, bass fishing is his job. This act was one of the most childish I've ever heard of. He needs to pay for those actions. "Public waterway...blah blah blah." It's about respect, and this O'Donnell guy obviously has none.

If he were a gifted tournament angler fishing bigger trails with rules of conduct, that might do some good. But I'm not thinking 'ol Pete will be missed on the 'trail'.

Schmitt must be commended, I agree with the mud hole theory, we'd had to see just how tough one of us was, especially for that kind of money. Schmitt did the right thing!
