The news media just days ago reported 2499 would be closed for weeks if not months...I just drove on it. They are not a whole lot better than the weather forecasters. They are more in it for ratings than accurate reporting.

i wouldnt care so much but my boat trailer is stored there also and all roads to the marina are closed.....would you feel it fair to lease a car and have to let it set because the dealership cant get the gate open to the parking lot?

Marinas don't own the lake nor do they have any control over the lake level. You guys are not comparing apples to apples.

i understand they cant control the water but they can control charging you a fee for a service they cant deliver...

Corps ramps are closed, not the lake.

this doesn't apply to anyone because no one has produced an announcement from any controlling body that Grapevine is closed to boat traffic

It's a Corp of Engineers lake so they control when it's open and when it's not. If it's closed to all boat traffic then that would shut down silverlake. If they say it's closed then it's that simple it's closed to all. Now if it's just their facilities and ramps and not the lake itself then that's a different story.
