Thanks Wilson and lite-liner, Sustain 5k it is. I actually want the 6k but it's twice as heavy as the 5k model. Thanks again for your inputs.
Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

There are currently 4 game wardens dressed in civil clothing out there. It is also illegal to share a cooler or stringer while your fishing. For example 1 stringer means one person if you have two people fishing and you both caught 3 each that's 6 fish on one stringer. Means one fish over the limit for one person. Same goes for the cooler. Just FYI MY FRIENDS. Let's keep it honest That sucks, what a stupid way to ruin someone's fishing trip. Easy solution: just use stringers to separate your fish then throw stringers with fish into cooler. 5 extra seconds per fish, no headache. forgot stringer? cut a fin or something off to mark yours apart from the others. i think they just want a way to differentiate and make sure no one goes over limit. As long as you attempt to abide by the regulations they usually leave you alone. side note: Please show respect. If i leave my fishing spot to put a fish in the cooler, that does not mean you can take my spot. Had a guy do that today. I decided to fish shoulder to shoulder with him and blow my morning breath all up in his face. Dude almost died. Now that's me being nice. [censored] me off and i'll slap you with a striper.

the stringer thing sounds bogus. not saying your post is, but what you have been told.
what about duck hunter groups.....all the ducks in the back of the truck. same deal. no one gets busted who is honest. I'd call tpwd and get clarification.

That is Oklahoma-based law and I am all for it. How many times do you think a couple of buddies one guy is out fishing the other and it fills his limit as well? Now if there are undercover game wardens the absolute butchering of the fishery can be contained. I mean if you can catch your limit that is your fault. I wish they would only let you keep one fish over 20 inches per person in the river personally. The limit is half of what is in the lake so that should be fair let's all try to preserve a phenomenal fishery in the river. Instead of taking home the biggest fish you can catch try just taking some boxfish and one nicer sized one to take home. The fishery would last much longer this way! Good luck to all when you see me I'll be cpr'ing all of those nasty suckers but i love to catch them:)

Separate stringers for sure. U can use same cooler. It's a good rule. Keeps the game Clean and fair. Very rare gw asks except for floodgate event at denison.

The dumb law is the max size on a cast net. Now there is a stupid law.Zero reasons for it. There already is limits on shad, 500. Why limit net size?
Keep em tight!
