Hey Tommy, have you been catching them shallower or on the same BPs that are now ~5ft deeper? I may try to get my dad out there this evening.

For about a month I had to fish new piles that I built shallower but now they are biting on the old ones just 5 feet deeper.

Thanks. We fished a couple of hours yesterday evening and ended up with 13 keepers on the normal piles, lots of 9.5 to 9.75" throwbacks too.

Just fishing out of a 14' flatbottom with a 9.9 hp, so I'm not exactly a speed demon anyway! Thanks in advance.

If you go to the Navionic website, then select the WebApp tab to see a detailed map of the lake once you zoom in.
Granger is an easy lake to navigate as it is mostly clear of stickups.

Wow oh Man! We went out with Mr. Tommie Tidwell today. The conditions weren't idea (high wind, etc.) but I want to thank Mr. Tidwell for putting us on the fish. We caught plenty. Since we are new we missed plenty but we learned plenty as well. And I'm not sharing what we learned other than I am coming back again.

Granger is a great crappie lake and I appreciated our guide a plenty. He treated us fellows from Houston Northwest to a great trip. My son (who we kid about not catching many fish) caught the most fish he ever caught before in his life! If not for a zombie experience for me on Sam Rayburn in January 1982, it would've been the best day for me!

cheer

The crappie are still biting good. Yesterday we had 87 keepers and today we had 70 very good quality fish. They are biting a chartreuse jig with reflective material on the body and a sickle hook. Danny Matthews makes them. I caught over 50 big keeper crappie on one of the ones he gave me to try out.

Ronnie, I think he is still working on his website, but this should help you out!

He lives a few blocks away from me and ties a few for me also.
