Good luck tonight guys. I will be fishing lake fork over the weekend so I can't make it to this weeks and most likely next week since I'm going to Amon Carter for the other tournament.
I'm predicting that whoever throws a wacky rig tonight will come home a winner haha. Post results whenever yall can so I can see how yall did.

Last night(this evening) I got to fish my first Mariner Sails Working Mans event of the year and boy am I glad I did! It was a little windier than I'd like out there but it was only three and a half hours of fishing on a lake I know pretty well, so "what the hell". The evening started pretty slow on my favorite spot, so I did what everyone does and beat the bank looking for a small limit. I caught my first fish shallow on a TX-rigged craw(14.75),then my second(14") on a trap, third (10")on a Bass Pro Stick-o, and fourth(10") on a Bass Pro Speed shad. To say I was killing it was definitely an overstatement... The wind was persistent but I knew I only needed one last fish for a small limit. The last hour of the tournament I went to an area I've fished dozens of times. I knew where some off shore structure was so I set-up casting upwind to hold my position. It didn't take five minutes and I felt a tick in my line. I gave the bass a quick second before I drove the hook home in what was soon to be my biggest bass (officially) in North Texas. After a pretty decent battle at the boat and me screaming that I had a F*CKING MONSTER to some of the other kayakers, the short battle was over and she was mine, a 24.75" 10.47lbs. Marine Creek beauty....(thanks for the scale NINJA!!) Photo cred goes to Bryan, thanks bud (if anyone else snapped some pics please PM them to me if you don't mind) I ended up taking 1st and Big Bass, Thanks to Bryan Row, Jason Delfraise, Duc Tran(even though he was absent), Aris Tsamis, and everyone responsible for putting on these events! They sure are a great way to get out and grow the sport!
