I went out last Saturday morning, 6-13, with chicken liver. This batch didn't hold well and I lost more bait than I caught fish, but I still managed to bring in 8 channels.

lake is closed to boat traffic

EAGLE MOUNTAIN LAKE CLOSED – June 18
Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) has closed Eagle Mountain Lake to boaters and for recreational activities until conditions improve. Wakes created by boaters could cause property damage to low lying dwelling. In addition, rising lake levels and debris could create hazardous conditions for other recreational activities. Therefore, the boat ramp will be closed until TRWD reopens the lake.

HIGH WATER ANNOUNCEMENT
• Current TRWD projections are for Eagle Mountain Lake to crest at 651.7 on Sunday, June 21. Projections are as of 10:30 AM, June 18, 2015 per TRWD Hotline 817-720-4296.
• 651.7 is 2.6 feet above Eagle Mountain Lake’s Conservation Level (lake full level) of 649.10. This is 0.3 feet above the recent crest of 641.42 on June 4th.
• Secure or remove items on your docks, protect irrigations pumps, and
turn off power to docks and item that could be covered by water.
• The boat ramp will be closed until Eagle Mountain Lake is reopened by TRWD for boating.
