13-15 boats that are normally lake guides, pulling out 4-8 LIMITS a day, each.
(of large breeder stock)
6th grade math will tell you that is NOT sustainable in that tiny fishery,
without almost immediate negative effects. I really wish those guides who preach about taking care of their lake, & promote CPR, felt & acted the same way about their river, instead of raping it for every fish they can, while they can, for profit.
It's a damn free-for-all down there. worse than I've ever seen
I wont be back until the river drops a lot more.

soap rant over

What's the crowd like during the week? Was thinking about taking a day off and going out there tomorrow (Friday) morning.

Bullfrogs are the best bait for stripers. Seriously

Can't buy it. U have to fish for it in a pond. IL show u how to catch them n later but it's easy. Live bull frogs are the best when u drift free line it.

I hook mine on the top part of the neck where it's chewy. Won't come off your hook and keeps froggy alive much longer. U really don't have to work your bait cus it swims pretty good.

Too many folks out there yesterday afternoon. Kept getting tangled with many bait soakers out there so I quit. Not much caught yesterday either, I think I'll stay away for now.

I thought that's what you got from standing in the river too long?
