Thanks Tornado, I'm tempting to take you up on your offer, maybe next time. You guys have fun fishing and catch a few big stripers, man. No hard feeling.
Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

Found something some people here may find interesting and useful for the dam. Very very strong, if not the strongest and slimmest knot to connect braid to mono/fluoro leader. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjzUb5QRKuk
Doug, camo hat with velcro patches, ugly stik gear bag.

I use fgknot when I'm saltwater fishin. Good knot but takes me a little longer to tie.

I use fgknot when I'm saltwater fishin. Good knot but takes me a little longer to tie. Gotta pull your main line and leader tight after doing the first two hitch knots or the whole thing goes to hell. Took me a couple of tries thinking the knot sucked before I got it right. Definitely a good one if you have a small top eye on your rod. This knot passes through easy if you are using a long leader, and/or want a shock leader for casting.

Saw a guy down there using 10lb mono trying to throw a 2oz jig head. He was wondering why he kept breaking off
