y That's the one I would reccomend. These are high quality hand tied one at a time. If you find them in stock get em while you can.... these are the hottest selling baits on the market right now. Absolutely..

Struck me as odd that KVD was throwing a white hair jig on the final day. Growing up in East Tex I was told by the old timers of the day that blk bass did like them as much as say a small mouth bass. But, being young and raiding my Dad's tackle box on a regular basis we'd find old fly fishing hair jigs and rig them on a split rig(not knowing what that was at the time) just seemed like the thing to do, and we caught fish. It looked like Kevin was using a 5/8oz. or better white hair jig, is that fake hair or rabbit, and where would you get one.. the article on BASS website about this said he caught around 30 fish between 3-5 lb.s in 1 hour on the hair jig!! That's just insane good. Most of us have no chance of ever getting to experience that. That guy is just on another level. WOW! Did he do that on Fork ? If so, that wouldn't help us that fish amateur tournaments. Those are all slot fish. You think a hair jig like that would he any good on say........Sam Rayburn

My Bro-n-law, who is a taxidermist, used to tie jigs with elk and deer hair. He would use them at night. He tied them with a huge profile and he caught many fish with them. That was probably 30 years ago. I fished with them a few times, but had no luck.

The hair jig has always been part of KVD's arsenal. When he won at Lewisville, he fished a 6" Strike King finesse worm on a jig head, but had a pretty good size hair jig laying on his deck. When he saw a shad flicker, he would reel in and fire that hair jig several times before picking his worm back up. I tie my own bucktail on eighth ounce heads. I've had real good luck on smallmouths, mainly when it's cold. Bucktail is hollow, which slows its fall, making it look like a dying baitfish. Because it's hollow, you should never trim the ends of bucktail.
