solid morning at the dam today. limited in 3 hrs


Tx side was really good today, but WAY down, past the 4th stairs
bring your waders & your big-boy gonads, current is SCARY.....

Butch, it is not just black bass fishermen who are particular about the rods and reels they use. These guys do use better equipment, but chunking poppers and weighted corks with jigs wear on your joint pretty hard. I know chunking the 13' rod for so many years ruined my shoulders and elbows, but it was fun.

went light tackle stealth ninja fishing across the rest picnic area on tex side with noob neighbor. caught in 1.5 hrs in the dark with glowinthe dark flukes.

Around 30 pounds! Have caught many over the years at that mark. Never had one much over that! Caught many 50 plus pound blues and several giant flat heads. I have helped land several striper over the 40 pound mark over the years.

Now this is more my style. light tackle decent fish. If Lite liner said bring waders. I am assuming that even with a strong current you do not have to have surf rods to fish certain areas right?


I only fish on days that end in Y!
