Chillllll ? That's the last thing we need to do!! If more people took this as a personal attack on their property there would be a lot less trash on MY lake and river... And I talking about both types of trash... The trash in and around my lake and river.. And the trash that put it there..offer still open, anyone want to meet up and clean up some river bank? Or is it just a bunch of lip service on here?

Anybody know whats the lightest rod out of the 5. Penn battlion Daiwa td classic s Daiwa salt pro coastal Laminglas ron arra Or Wilsons lami lol sadly those who stand on the sidelines wishing for clues to be handed to them will never get it. It was like this in '07, & I was as guilty as the next person looking for an 'easy ride'. it ain't that, period. When the river runs at Denison it's for the hardcore. you're gonna have to go down there, watch until you build confidence, and start casting. You're gonna lose ALOT of gear, you're gonna figure out the "surf rod" you brought is completely worthless here that's part of it. It aint easy. St Croix has the rods, it just takes an educated mind to know where to look if you know what you need in a rod to fish denison @ these levels, the battle is half-won. BTW fishing successfully in this [censored] costs $$, if you can't, don't. just a few truths for those thinking its a "fish in the barrel" situation

So Texas side is out of the question? I can't walk over from ok side right I've never been to the ok side.... Sorry if dumb questions. Any help would be appreciated. If anyone needs lewisville questions answered I'd be happy to help. Do you think the main lake would be better? I oddly got Thursday off and I've been itching to catch a striper, and dang it I'm gonna try lol No, highway 91 is washed out. You have to stay on 75 to Colbert, take the Colbert exit and go west on 91 to Cartwright, south across the dam to the road going below the dam. You can get to both the Texas and Oklahoma side below the dam, but you have to get to the dam by going into Oklahoma. The road is washed out like it did in '90.

Most my set ups are runned with 40# power pro super slick. My next set up was a tice 9ft medium for throwing pencil poppers and bucktails. But the action was to stiff for it so i use it for bucktails. With a shimano stradic fj. Then i use to have a ron arra but i didnt see the hype about it.

I agree with lite liner! Ppl might talk like it's easy but it's more method to the madness! I've seen ppl with bring panfish bobbers and set it at 3' with shrimp And more then likely they get hung up with the "pros" at dd cause they just leave it drifting with the current. It's a different type of fishing when these times comes. Don't make it hard on yourself ppl. Please watch the guys who's been doing it for years and learn the technique! Timing has a lot to do with it also! Tight lines yall!

For those who wonder why people throw pencil poppers far. There modified. Drilled a hole in the back and add bbs with silicon at the end. Or epoxy. Been doing this since 2004. When i was a newbie
