Doesn't matter on here, there is always gonna be someone that just wants to stir it up. Most don't understand power to weight, suspension tuning, lines, etc.
As for the truck drag race? It would be about as interesting as watching old women knitting. yes, you understand, most don't. I haven't raced Spec. RX7 for 10 years, but 2100 pounds and DOT R's it embarrased all the street exotics with average drivers. most street exotics lap MSR in 1:30+, SRX7 was high 1:20's, RX8 low 1:20's, and did 1:18 in the 355 Challenge. In Cresson? The 1.7? Hell, I can turn a 16 there on a motorcycle.

2008 Tundra owner here. 105k miles on it and still runs like a beast. That thing still amazes me how much power it has. I love it.
My Dad bought a 2012 Dodge ram and was bragging how much power it has and how fast it gets up. He only has about 25k miles on it now. I told him my Tundra would smoke him. We argue about it all the time. Good thing he lives in CA or we would have settled this already on a back country road. Well don't line up against an Ecoboost, in either truck, it will hurt your feelings. I would gladly line up next to a eco boost in my old wore out titan. Smoke a few Titans already with my eco so don't cry to hard when it happens to you,,

Bought a new 2014 eco boost last month, happy with it so far. Mpg is about what I expected in a truck and it does everything I need it to do. No complaints here

07 Tundra. 202,000 miles, probably 40-50 towing 21 foot bass boat. Has been paid for for 3 years. I will be slapping my 4th set of tires on in about 10K miles. 17 HWY, 11-12 Towing. Left me on road for the first time 2 weeks ago when the tensioner spring wore out and caused the serpentine belt to shred. Starting to burn about 1/4 to half qt of oil every 5-6 k miles. Never had an alignment, transmission serviced once at 120,000. 1 brake job at 110,000 miles (will get another when new tires go on). Every single thing still works. (No broken knobs, cracks, torn leather, or crud like I used to get in my Dodges)
Blue Books between 7,000-8,500, or about 1000 to 2500 higher than Fords, Chevy's and Dodges comparably equipped.
All trucks have their fans, we all have our stories and at one time I have been a fan of ALL of them because I have owned ALL of them other than a Nissan. I was skeptical when I bought the Yota, but I had an open mind, and decided to give them a chance. I will NEVER own anything but a Yota from this point forward. They are as tough as a two dollar Vegas steak.
And for the question earlier about a Tundra's being a 3/4 ton truck, it is TRUE. I was skeptical when I heard this a few years back, but when I received my title to my truck, there it was as plain as day, 3/4 TON.

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

That's another discussion entirely though... I think the Toyotas are great trucks though I've never owned one. They certainly have a big following. But there's no way on God's green earth I'm going to strap my 14,000lb 5th wheel to one yet the ol' Dodge 3/4 ton handles it just fine. I know, I know.... Fishing forum. And for pulling a bass boat, I'm sure the Toyota is fantastic. I just have trouble equating them to other 3/4 ton trucks on the market. J

They dont have the suspensions required for that. I was just pointing out the fact that the state of Texas recognizes them as a 3/4 ton truck on their titles. I did not say they would do what a 3/4 ton Ford or Dodge can do.

Holy throwback! Im seeing a bunch of grown folks act like the kids at my school who park alone with their so called "race truck" that have no friends, and go around town making their tires skreeetch!! Im sorry but im being entertained by all the John Forces on this thread, "Oh your ecoboost cant out run my titan" Anyways, sorry for ranting, I know that there are some that classify a $45 muffler as a performance upgrade or a since they can run a quarter mile in 15.0 seconds that their vehicle suddenly becomes a top fuel dragster. I don't know why anyone would want something "Just a little bit faster than the next man" when you could go flat out buy a LB7 duramax for half the price of a brand new truck, stuff it full of "go fast" parts, injectors, compound twins, tranny, wicked wheel, EFILive, ect... And it will still pull your boat, and do it more efficiently than your gasser and cheaper. My 0.02 God Bless

This thread is about towing, where did racing your tow vehicle come from? For those that want to race tow vehicles, are you going to race with or without your boat in tow? Let me know when yall are going to the track, I want to watch. LOL That should be fun to see.
