Nissan Titan here. Tows great and was thousands less than other trucks. 140,000 miles on it with nothing but Mobil 1 and tires. Even though I never considered mpg important in my truck choice I guess the initial cost saving goes a long, long way to covering lower mpg. Some dang high mpg claims on the thread...some of these trucks are running on new math.

Chevy and GMC should be combined, since they are the same vehicle.

My 2012 with the big engine just gets 9-10 MPG pulling a 520. I don't care about mileage though, drive it hard and usually a little stop and go through Dallas getting to Fork. It eats the gas, I think these turbo diesels sound like the way to go for mileage.

Have the 5.7, and put in 20 gallons of gas and get 290 miles out of it. My math doesn't come close to 9-10 mpg. Have a 2wd if that makes any difference. Really not concerend about mileage either. Reason I go to work...

I recently went from A 2010 GMC Canyon w/ Off-road and Towing package to a Toyota Tacoma Pre Runner. Both had (almost) the same size engine, but towing is night and day with those two truck. The Toyota out performs it in every way. Not to mention the issues I had with the Canyon. It seemed like every month I was replacing something. Finally after a cooing tube popped off while towing the boat I said enough was enough and made the switch. I know Chevy has really come back this year with their Colorado and GMC Canyon line, but I still don't think they can hold a candle to Toyota.

Well don't line up against an Ecoboost, in either truck, it will hurt your feelings.

actually, most the acceleration tests are pretty similar between the makes.

I have a 2004 Dodge diesel and have all of you beat on towing mileage.

Steez... where are the pictures of you actually pulling the Chevy out of the mud. The one I see is just you hooked up to the Chevy, still in the mud..stuck.

On my 5th Jeep (1st 4 door) and absolutely love everything about them. The simple key to towing with a Jeep is setting it up correctly.
